KVP has provided kitchen ventilation for both multi-site chains of care homes, as well as those with a small number of sites.
Often these are canopy only projects with the ductwork and fans being provided by the overall site mechanical company. When this is the case, KVP will interact closely with the mechanical company to ensure our installation coincides with their design.
When providing the full kitchen ventilation package, often the ductwork will be installed from the lower level kitchen and will rise to terminate at the roof level. The fire-rating of the ductwork is then maintained by use of fire-rated ductwork or enclosed within a fire-rated shaft provided by the main contractor.
Noise reducing measures are often included so that the extraction system does not cause a nuisance to the residents.
